Teknomadic's Guide to
Nomading in the USA

Astounding natural beauty from
coast to coast

The US might not be the first country that springs to mind when you think of digital nomad hotspots, but for those seeking to explore the great outdoors, few countries can match what the country has to offer. Renting an RV and traveling the country is your best bet to see the sights and sounds of America.

THE LOWDOWN ON THE USA

Language

Believe it or not, there is no official language in the USA. Of course, English is the predominant language, but depending on where you go, you're liable to hear a number of different languages spoken. America is the melting pot of the world.

Cost of Living

The cost of living in the US is high, and only getting higher. Hotels and Airbnbs run in the hundreds of dollars per night. The best option for digital nomads may just be to rent an RV and see the country at your own leisure.

Climate

From sea to shining sea, you'll find just about every climate imaginable. The west coast is renowned for its sunshine and beaches. For nature lovers, the western US is a veritable playground of natural wonders. The National Park and Forest systems are worth a visit alone.

Food

Anything and everything is available to eat in the US. From staples like burgers and pizzas, to Mexican food, Italian and ever increasing array of ethnic specialties, you'll find it all in the states. However, a good meal will cost you a pretty penny.

Currency

The all mighty dollar rules the states. If you're coming from a foreign country, you'll need to either exchange your money for US dollars, or use credit cards as foreign currency is not accepted anywhere.

Internet Access

Internet throughout the US is fast and reliable. Most hotels and Airbnbs will have more than adequate internet access to facilitate work. Satellite internet has become a game changer, allowing nomads to get work done in remote places.
